Just the facts, in a simple and clean format. Exploring for iPad: News is good but the new update leaves a lot to be desired — like the old format! Don’t k*** curate your alerts to satisfy or sway public opinion, I would give it no stars.....can’t read any articles because a Boeing commercial keeps popping up. The watchlist you can create for stocks is very good, too, though from time to time not with prices that are up to date. Thank you. The stories seem all over the place. And not that I need to qualify this. The app was awesome! The app occasionally shows a little pop-up banner on top saying “3 new”, giving the impression that there are 3 new news stories. Catch up on what’s happening in the world 24/7 with Reuters News. The new format has too much white space, too many large images, and it seems that you scroll forever to find a story you may be interested in reading. Reuters was my go-to news app. However, their previous version was better as it had a shorter synopsis and was easier to scan through to find an article you were interested in. Rats. The Wire is gone with its excellent breaking news summary. I have spent many years enjoying Reuters coverage and their prior apps. You need this link especially if you think anyone but FOX is fake. Many supported countries like USA, UK, Ireland, India, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and more! All around great design. The front page though, in a heightened way as of late, has been narrative push after narrative push. Sure I look to the Guardian for great news and editorials. What more can I say? Not sure why this has been done but I hope they revert to the old content provider because unfortunately this simply does not do what it should do. There’s an up to date custom video update, wire news ad it comes in, and thorough coverage of everything! The ads at the end of articles sure seem scam like -" Govt to pay off $xxx off your mortgage if you haven't missed a payment" - Really? Links to videos should be identified with an icon or prefix If you don’t want the facts, and want to remain in your safe bubble of personal perspectives, read the HuffPo, Breitbart, or Drudge and enjoy the bots and stress. Would like to see option for more notifications, possibly the option to choose how many or choose specific categories of notifications. Please put it back the way it was! Such trust is hard to build, especially today. Now I am forced to use their website to have access all stories. I only have the topics I pick, maybe with an algorithm. Reuters App accolades include the Apple App Store “Editor’s Choice”, “New and Noteworthy” and “What’s Hot” plus a 2014 Appy Award for News. Factual reporting without bias. That rates high in my book. From the renown Reuter’s I was expecting an easier-to-use app and more balanced coverage. One of the last good news apps gone down the drain. This is my only go to source for real news. Reuters News app delivers breaking news, analysis and market data from the world's most trusted news organization. The new layout has huge pictures, and you have to scroll a lot and click on different tab sections to see the articles. You need at least one unbiased source of information. That shouldn’t be more than a few times per month. Excellent journalism. It always went back to predetermined news feed setting. The coverage straightforward. Now after the update, I cannot use it any more. Just sad. Please remove it! I see others have the same issues. This news source had been our news app of choice until these last couple of updates. For real? I would like true breaking news alerts only. If you use an IPad or other device, this is not configured for your enjoyment and more searching will be required to see daily highlights. I’ll be sticking with the old version as long as it continues to work. Hope it can be fixed! For our answer, take a look at the new Reuters app, redesigned from the ground up. Along with the package, you get Reuters Insider alerts, which are exclusive content and research provided by the expert analysts on the financial network team. Sometimes have to go back to home page between each one. This version is formatted too much like Google news or Yahoo. I now feel I am on Fox News Extremely difficult to navigate, and has managed to completely turn me off the app. Still, some attempts at neutrality are dealt successfully. Completely disappointed by the new design. So I'm not blinded by bias. For me, the old version was much better, where I could see a large amount of headlines at-a-glance. I love Reuters. The old app had a heading labeled the wire where one could scroll down all types of stories , and there were section always available separately on the side menus . This new version is too heavy into photos. Market Data Stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities analysis can all be found within the Reuters News app. Furthermore, the subsections (eg “Deals”) is no longer available to view on its own. Our campus is piloting Canvas this semester (Fall 2018) as a replacement for Blackboard. The layout is also too busy.
